This traditional Marseille soap from Jacob Hooy is multifunctional and can be used for removing stains, washing baby clothes and disinfecting wounds. The traditional French soap is 100% natural and is made on the basis of 72% olive oil, which makes the soap extra suitable as hand soap. The natural oils ensure that the skin becomes nice and soft and that no skin irritations arise with frequent use.
Make your own liquid detergent
Needed :
- 50gr Jacob Hooy Marseille soap grated
- 2.5 liters of water
- For white laundry, add 25gr of soda
This is how you make it :
Boil 1 liter of water. Pour the boiling water into the grated or finely chopped soap (for whites with added soda). Stir until it is a liquid whole. Then boil another 1.5 liters of water, add it and stir again until it is 1 liquid. Let it cool down and you have 2.5 liters of wonderfully soft neutral detergent.
If you like to give your detergent a fresh scent, add essential oil when the detergent has cooled down and stir it very well. You can choose which essential oil you like. Add 30 drops (3ml) of essential oil to 2.5 liters of detergent. If you want a stronger scent, this can of course be a little more.
Highly recommended are: lavender, mandarin, peppermint, eucalyptus and ylang ylang. It is best to pour the detergent into a sealable container when it is ready. Shake well before use.
