This is a purely natural, highly moisture-absorbing sediment, formed from the skeletons of microscopic diatoms. This environmentally friendly bowl will last for years.
 
Tip: Rinse the bowl occasionally with warm water and let it dry - preferably in the sun. This is how it 'works' optimally again!
