The wines of Domaine de la Vougeraie are scarce and highly sought after worldwide. Like most Burgundy producers, they make many different wines every year, which best reflect the typicality of the vineyard. This wine is a special case because of the word Monopole. This means that Domaine de la Vougeraie owns the entire walled vineyard Clos de Thorey. The vineyard has Premier Cru status and is located in the municipality of Nuits-Saint-Georges. About 4000 bottles of this pinot noir are produced annually.
