Red Honey is a sweet coffee with notes of maple syrup, molasses and a soft bitter aftertaste of dark chocolate. The fresh tones are nicely balanced with the full sweetness. This accessible coffee is suitable for many brewing methods. As an espresso, the coffee has a full sweet taste with a rich body and a modest fresh hint. The Red Honey is also suitable as a Slow Coffee, brewed with the Kalita and Chemex, where the sweet taste is emphasized and the sour tones fade more into the background.
The Red Honey is produced according to the honey method. The coffee beans are dried in their flesh, so that the sweet fruit flavor penetrates deep into the bean. The hard coffee beans are then roasted on a roasting profile with a very long development time. This produces an extra sweet coffee.
