Côtes du Ventoux is a protected area of origin in the extreme southeast of the Rhône region. The area has a special appeal to cycling enthusiasts thanks to the name of the region after the mythical mountain of Mont Ventoux, which regularly produces heroic stages in the Tour de France. Thanks to its location at an altitude, wines from Ventoux are somewhat lighter. Similarly, this Ventoux Rouge from Vidal-Fleury made of mainly grenache with syrah and mourvèdre. You can taste strawberries, red cherries and green herbs such as thyme and rosemary.
